Gender pay gap: what we learned in week two

This year, for the first time, all public and private sector organisations in Great Britain with more than 250 employees will have to reveal the difference between what they pay men and women.The mining company Anglo American reported stark differences in what men and women are paid.It reported not only a 49% hourly pay gap – meaning women earn half as much as men on average – but also a 72% gap in bonus payments.
