Former Rangers Owner Declared Bankrupt

Former Rangers owner Craig Whyte has been declared bankrupt at the High Court in London. The bankruptcy petition was filed after the 44-year-old failed to pay a judgement debt worth £20.8m following allegations he agreed to sell three years' worth of season ticket sales to Ticketus for £25m. It was claimed the Scottish businessman used this money to fund his takeover of Rangers Football Club in 2011.
