Flood-Hit Cumbria Prepares For More Flooding

Residents of flood-ravaged Cumbria are being warned to brace themselves for a second weekend of potential flooding, as more rain sweeps across the country. River levels are still high from last weekend's flooding and this means that, although just 1.5in of rain is forecast for Cumbria today, there is a risk of flooding. Areas likely to be affected this weekend include Carlisle, Keswick, Cockermouth, Appleby, Kendal and Glenridding, along with St Michael's in Lancashire.
