Firefighters Contain Major Warehouse Blaze

A "significant amount of smoke" billowed from the building owned by Global Hygiene LLP on Drummond Street - and more than 50 firefighters were involved in bringing the blaze under control. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "Following treatment from medics the man was discharged and did not require hospital treatment. In a statement, Global Hygiene said the building which caught fire had been under construction, and added it was too early to comment on what caused the blaze.
