Financiers convicted over £245m loan scam
A group of financiers have been found guilty of bribery and corruption as part of a scam worth £245m. Finance consultant David Mills, 59, used designer watches, exotic holidays and sex parties to bribe HBOS manager Lyden Scourfield to approve inappropriate loans for struggling businesses. Mr Mills and his colleagues were then able to charge the business owners significant consultancy fees.
