Ex-Met Chief Investigated Over Lawrence Claims

Lord Stevens is being investigated over claims the Metropolitan Police failed to disclose information to the Macpherson inquiry into the Stephen Lawrence murder probe. The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) confirmed it was investigating the former Metropolitan Police commissioner following a referral from the London force. The investigation into Lord Stevens was launched following a complaint by the murdered teenager’s father Neville Lawrence last October, Channel 4 News reported
