Doctors advised to turn off Gulf War veteran's life support
Doctors should stop providing life support to a Gulf War veteran who was left in a coma after a road accident, a judge has ruled. Police officer Paul Briggs, who served with the Merseyside force, suffered a severe brain injury in a motorcycle crash in July last year. Mr Briggs' wife, Lindsey, had told Mr Justice Charles that her husband should be allowed to die.
