Dippy the dinosaur doubles daily visitors on nationwide tour
Dippy the Diplodocus has been causing visitor numbers at museums to surge as the dinosaur continues on its nationwide tour, according to the Natural History Museum.It had been housed at the Natural History Museum in London since 1905, but is now on a three-year tour of the UK, starting with Dorset County Museum in Dorchester, near to the UK's Jurassic Coast.When Dippy was in Dorset County Museum, its presence tripled the visitor numbers for the venue in an entire year within just three months.
