David Cameron has been leader of the Conservative Party for a decade, transforming from fresh-faced 39-year-old to Coalition veteran and (finally) election winner. David Cameron beat the favourite David Davies to clinch the top job. A day later, cock-sure Cameron was telling Tony Blair "you were the future once" in his first PMQs.
