Cross-Dressing, Gun-Toting Robber Jailed

Ryan Valentine, 39, was caught on CCTV wearing a long, dark wig, sunglasses and a black skirt as he entered a shop in Leatherhead High Street, Surrey on 19 February. He was seen pulling out an imitation gun from his handbag as crash helmet-wearing accomplice Raymond Price, 45, joined him in the shop. The plot was foiled by two staff members who decided to tackle Valentine as he demanded cash and jewellery, leaving him with his wig askew and his skirt falling down.
