Corbyn's Supporters Rally Against Quit Calls

Thousands of Momentum supporters have rallied in support of Labour's beleagured Jeremy Corbyn amid new calls for him to step aside. Sources have told Sky News that a group of freshly appointed shadow cabinet ministers attempted to see the leader to urge him to resign, to prevent a split in the party. It is also understood that the party rebels are trying to avoid a formal leadership contest, as 60,000 new members have joined this week further bolstering Mr Corbyn's position.
