Corbyn pledges to create LGBT history month for new curriculum

A gay history month in schools could be introduced as part of changes to the national curriculum, Jeremy Corbyn has said. The changes would be brought in to present a more positive image of the LGBT community as well as inform pupils about the struggle of gay people in history, the Labour leader pledged. "I want it to become part of the norm of discussion in schools, so discussing it in literature, discussing it in history, so that we don't treat it as separate," Mr Corbyn told the Press As
