Corbyn calls for Government contract pay cap after wage limit confusion
Executives of firms awarded Government contracts would have their pay capped to £350,000 a year under Labour, Jeremy Corbyn has announced. The Labour leader said his party would introduce a pay ratio limiting the wages of a Government contract firm's top earners to 20 times that of the living wage of just over £16,000 a year. Labour could also introduce laws that would see remuneration committees sign off executive pay, under a raft of suggestions for tackling fat cat pay, he said.
