Colder Than Christmas For The South East
Western parts of the UK have been basking in sunshine - but in the South East it has been colder than on Christmas Day. Temperatures in London and Oxford averaged 14C (57F) on Wednesday, compared to 15C (59F) on December 25 last year. By contrast, temperatures reached 23C (73F) in Ireland, and are expected to remain at that level on Friday.
