Clutha Report Calls For Black Box Recorders
The report into the Clutha helicopter crash in Glasgow recommends police helicopters be fitted with black box recorders. The long-awaited Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) investigation has confirmed that the police helicopter did not have to have flight recorders. It recommended that aviation regulator the Civil Aviation Authority should make it compulsory for police helicopters to be fitted with equipment to record data, audio and images.
