Child abuse inquiry will not forget the past, Alexis Jay says

The new head of the national inquiry into child sexual abuse has insisted there will be "no reduction or restrictions" in its scope. The investigation has been hit by controversies since it began two years ago, including the resignation of three of its chairwomen. Professor Alexis Jay, who now leads the probe, said the inquiry was "still very interested in the past" amid calls to redraw its approach.
