Carney Defends Brexit Recession Warning
Bank of England Governor Mark Carney says issuing a Brexit recession warning was not overstepping the mark and suggested out campaigners were in denial. Mr Carney said it was the bank's job to mitigate risks to the UK economy and you could not do that by "ignoring" them. And he suggested leave campaigners, who insisted leaving the EU would have no impact on the economy, were in denial.
