Cadbury Sales Fall After Creme Egg Changes
The maker of Cadbury's Creme Eggs has been forced to defend its controversial recipe after the chocolate brand saw millions of pounds worth of Easter sales melt away. Research by analysts IRI for trade magazine The Grocer found Cadbury's best-selling seasonal lines were £10m lower in 2015, cutting the confectioner’s market share from 42% to 40%. The report found that filled and shell Creme Egg sales were down by £6m.
