Burnham Wants 'Hillsborough' Law For Inquests

Andy Burnham is calling for the introduction of a 'Hillsborough law' to make sure bereaved families have equal funding for legal representation at inquests. The shadow home secretary, who has campaigned on behalf of Hillsborough victims' families, believes it is unfair that public bodies can afford expensive lawyers but "ordinary people" sometimes struggle to do so. They will see the Leigh MP ask MPs of all political parties to back major reforms to the policing and criminal justice system.
