Burnham Picked As Manchester Mayor Candidate

Andy Burnham put Theresa May on notice as he became Labour's Manchester mayoral candidate telling her: "You promised us a powerhouse". Mr Burnham pledged that he would be a mayor to hold the Government's feet to the fire over investment in the North, which he said had been grotesquely unfair.
