Britain to step up training of Ukrainian armed forces

Britain said on Wednesday it would step up its training programme for Ukraine's armed forces as they battle pro-Russian separatist fighters in the east of the country. Defence Secretary Michael Fallon said Britain would announce at a NATO meeting with Ukraine on Thursday plans to double spending on the training to around 6 million pounds ($9.4 million).
