Boy Drowns Swimming Below High Force Waterfall

A 16-year-old boy has died after getting into difficulty while swimming with friends below a waterfall in County Durham. The teenager, from Hartlepool, was in the deep pool beneath High Force waterfall on Tuesday evening when he got into trouble. Emergency services were alerted to the incident on the River Tees in Teesdale at around 8pm.
