Birth injuries compensation plan 'will save NHS millions'

A new scheme to fast track compensation claims for children damaged at birth could end the "litigation culture" the Government believes is blighting the NHS. It is hoped the "rapid resolution and redress" programme for parents who believe medical errors caused damage such as cerebral palsy or brain damage, will give parents an alternative to litigation as the first step.
