Birds Killed In Gun Attack At Village Pond

Most of the birds at a village pond have been shot dead in an attack condemned by police as "disgusting". An air rifle was used to carry out the slaughter of wildlife in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire, between Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon. The birds killed were two newborn geese, two wild ducks, a female Muscovy duck and a moorhen.
