Bereaved father welcomes stiffer sentences for drivers who text

A father whose daughter was killed by a driver using his mobile phone has welcomed government's plans to get tougher with those who break the law. Paul Baker's daughter Liberty was killed in 2014 when the young driver of a car mounted a pavement in Witney, Oxfordshire and ploughed into her and a group of friends. Mr Baker told Sky News: "It was a horrendous event, it was terrible, it was avoidable and shouldn't have happened.
