Arctic Blast After 'Thundersnow' Storms
A fierce Arctic blast will sweep across Britain over the weekend bringing more snow and freezing temperatures, forecasters say. Motorists are urged to take extra care with overnight temperatures on Friday expected to fall to -2C (28F). Sky weather producer Rebecca Yusuf says they will recover slightly on Saturday but a chill wind will “make it feel sub-zero in many places”. “Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic will see frequent, blustery sleet and snow showers through the morning.
