Anfield homophobic attack: Children pulled knife on couple in Liverpool

Two men have been targeted in a homophobic attack by children as young as 12 in Liverpool, leaving one with serious head and neck injuries.One of the victims sustained serious injuries to his head and neck, though doctors have described them as non-life threatening, while the second sustained a minor hand injury.Detective Inspector Tara Denn described the incident as "an appalling and unprovoked attack on two men simply making their way home".
