Tobias Ellwood, the Foreign Office minister, has – as I wrote on 22 July – refused to answer questions in the Commons about the fate of the Saudi blogger Raif Badawi, on the grounds that his case is still being considered by the Saudi Supreme Court and the UK could not interfere in another country’s judicial process.
