Alton Towers Job Cuts After 'Difficult Year'

Up to 190 jobs could go at the Alton Towers theme park as a result of falling ticket sales following the rollercoaster crash in June. Five people were seriously injured when The Smiler rollercoaster crashed at the Staffordshire theme park on 2 June. The firm said: "At the end of a very difficult year, Alton Towers Resort has confirmed a proposed restructure of the business to be completed in time for the opening of the new season in March 2016.
