Albanian Killer Fights Extradition From UK

An Albanian double murderer who has hidden from justice in the UK for 18 years will fight extradition to his home country on human rights grounds, a court has been told. It emerged during a hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court that Avni Metra, 53, has been arrested on suspicion of rape while in Britain. Metra is wanted in Albania in connection with two murders and firearms possession - offences that date back to 1996.
