Adam Johnson Sex Case 'Is Classic Grooming'

Footballer Adam Johnson was a man who had "lied and lied and lied again" over his sexual encounters with a 15-year-old girl, a jury has heard. Prosecutor Kate Blackwell QC described the player's behaviour as a "classic case of grooming, grooming in its purest form". Giving her closing speech on the 11th day of the trial at Bradford Crown Court, she told jurors they should see through his "transparent cloak of rectitude" to the "core of his deceit and lies".
