Acid Attack Victim Calls For Life Sentences

A beautician who lost an ear when sulphuric acid was thrown in her face has called for life sentences for those who carry out acid attacks. Adele Bellis, 23, was left partially bald and disfigured after the attack in her home town of Lowestoft, Suffolk, which was ordered by her former boyfriend of seven years Anthony Riley. Five months earlier she had been stabbed in the face by one of his friends, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
