Abuse Allegations At Young Offenders Centre

Seven members of staff at a centre for underage offenders have been suspended over allegations of abuse. Kent Police said in a statement they were investigating reports from G4S of "abusive behaviour (physical and verbal)" at the Medway Secure Training Centre. Allegations include that one teenager was punched in the ribs, another slapped several times, and that inappropriate restraint techniques were used, according to the Times.
