75 high-rise buildings fail fire safety tests after Grenfell disaster

Seventy-five high-rise blocks across 26 local authorities have failed fire safety tests since the Grenfell Tower disaster.Checks are being carried out on hundreds of tower blocks after it was established that the cladding on the 26-storey building helped the fire, which is believed to have killed at least 79 people, to spread.Communities minister Sajid Javid told the Commons that the so-called combustibility test had been failed by every building examined so far.
