3,000 newborn chicks found abandoned in a field 

The RSPCA has now launched an investigation in a bid to discover who dumped the estimated 3,000 chicks on Friday after buying them from a local dealer.Justin Stubbs, the RSPCA Inspector called to the scene by a member of the public, said: "I have never seen anything like it, it was just a sea of yellow.Initial inquiries by the RSPCA suggest the chicks were bought from a commercial chick producer nearby.
