City snapshot: Costa Coffee grows first quarter sales by 11.4%

Costa Coffee grew its first quarter sales by 11.4% to £414.3m to help total sales for the 13 weeks to 2 June 2016 rise 8% at owner Whitbread. Plus the FTSE 100 sees its biggest jump in three years and pound soars on diminished Brexit fears.
