Pound euro exchange rate: GBP/EUR edges up despite German construction boost

This morning, the pound has made tentative gains on the euro and the pairing is currently trading at around €1.166. In a reversal of fortune for the country, February’s German industrial production rose by a higher-than-forecast 0.7 per cent, boosted by a pickup in construction.
