Matalan bucks trend

IMPROVED clothing ranges and tight stock management helped Matalan defy high street gloom with higher quarterly sales. The retailer lifted revenue 4.9 per cent to £265.9million after 39 per cent online growth and sales rose at its 227 UK outlets.
