Bank of England holds interest rates at 0.5 per cent

THE Bank of England has kept interest rates at 0.5 per cent. Two members of the Finance Committee – Ian McCafferty and Michael Saunders voted for a 0.25 per cent increase – voted to raise the rate but were outvoted by the other seven policymakers.
