Power workers restore Wimbledon landmark

Engineers from the UK’s biggest electricity distribution network have restored a local landmark for the community of Wimbledon.
UK Power Networks has refurbished a historic ‘museum piece’ on the streets of Wimbledon. A 19th century electricity substation, now redundant, looks as good as new following work with contractors and the local council. The restoration project preserved a Grade II listed substation, which forms an important part of the UK’s engineering history as
