“Highly unlikely” all John Lewis stores will ever reopen

John Lewis today announced plans to reopen a further ten shops, but
reports reveal it is “highly unlikely” all 50 of the retailer’s stores will
ever open again.  In March this year the Partnership warned it would shut
stores as part of a strategic review of the business as it reported profits
down 23% to £123 million for the year ended 25th January 2020. Chairman
Sharon White said the company would look at “right sizing” its store estate
across both brand
