Scotch tax hike costs treasury £298m in a year

Former chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Huntâs ârecord breakingâ Scotch whisky tax hike cost the treasury Â298m in revenue from spirits duty in a year, according to the Scotch Whisky Association (SWA).
