BMW has released a 394bhp plug-in hybrid version of the new X5, the xDrive45eThis is the BMW X5 xDrive45e iPerformance, the new plug-in hybrid version of the German firm’s large SUV. Due in showrooms early next year the latest X5 hybrid is powered by a 3.0-litre, turbocharged six-cylinder petrol engine - supported by an 82kW electric motor - for a combined power output of 394bhp. Maximum torque peaks at 600Nm.
Fuel economy is a claimed 134mpg and CO2 emission
