The engineer responsible for transforming Volkswagen into one of the world’s largest automakers has diedFerdinand Piech, grandson to the legendary Ferdinand Porsche and former Volkswagen Group chairman and CEO, has died aged 82.
He was recognised as the engineer who transformed Volkswagen into one of the world’s largest automakers, adding brands such as Lamborghini, Bugatti and Bentley to the company’s roster.
