Sri Lanka – corruption, pandemic and then Putin
Sri Lanka has collapsed into the worst economic crisis it has experienced since independence in 1948. Inflation is at a record 54.6 percent; and food inflation 80.1 percent causing a “dire humanitarian crisis”. The treasury is dry and the country unable to import fuel, food and medicine.
