Increasingly bizarre court decisions taken under the guise of the European Convention of Human Rights, allowing murderers and rapists to avoid extradition on specious excuses are leading to pressure for reform. The ECHR, agreed after World War 11 by Churchill, Adenauer, Mitterrand and others came into force on 3 September 1953 in part as a defence against Stalinism.
