My friend Robert Organ, who has died aged 90, was a Realist painter whose work explored the world around him in all its beauty and oddity.His carefully constructed and richly hued paintings often told the story of his life, with large series of canvases depicting his Devon garden, the interior of his house and delectable items spread on large table tops.
