Cole thinks the ‘assured’ Brazilian, 36, has brought ‘calmness’ to the defence and his cool persona has rubbed off on the younger players around him.
Silva arrived on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain and has been a regular fixture under Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel this season.
