Police warn of increase in stolen-to-order pets for sale during festive season 

Police are warning people to be 'puppy smart' as thieves are targeting 'designer breeds' which become an 'attractive commodity' at Christmas. Dog thefts rose from 1,879 in 2017 to 1,959 in 2018.
