Volunteers hope restoration will return UK seaside town to its former glory and reverse its declineThere was a time, when Clare Cooper was a child, when she thought Great Yarmouth was “a magical world”. Her family, from Biggleswade in Bedfordshire, came twice a year to the East Anglian seaside resort, in May and October, and she would plead with her parents: “Please can we go on the boats?”She meant the rowing boats and pedalos and gondola-style vessels on the boating lak
